Chione, a woodwind quintet from the Mankato Symphony Orchestra, will be at the Wabasha Public Library for a special storytime presentation. All ages are welcome to this free and special presentation. This program is presented in partnership with the Mankato Symphony Orchestra and the Minnesota State Arts Board.
Janice is the author of “The Road to Beaver Park” Painting, Perception, and Pilgrimage.
JANICE E. KIRK is a published author, illustrator, teacher, and musician. Trained as an
artist, a singer, and a writer, she writes about nature, the arts, spirituality, and related topics. After many years in California, Jan and husband Don moved to Winona in the
beautiful Mississippi River Valley to be closer to their children and grandchildren.

Wabasha County Public Health would like to invite all couples to a free evening out to educate themselves and our community on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD). At this couple’s night out we will be featuring keynote speaker, Sharon Riester, CNM, NP pre-conception/pre-natal Healthcare provider from St. Elizabeth’s Community Clinic. We will also be providing alcohol-free mocktails, healthy snacks and facts & myths about a serious health problem.

Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre (PFCT) is a professional touring theatre company based in Barrett, Minnesota and has been bringing a theatrical experience to communities across the upper Midwest since 1987. Prairie Fire tours a variety of original adaptations of classic tales. Throughout the entire year, Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre sends two professional Actors/Directors to a community for a one week residency. Local children fill the roles and PFCT provides everything needed to do the show. After a week of rehearsing, the cast will perform the play twice on the weekend.
Performances: Friday, July 27th at 7 pm & Saturday, July 28th TBD.
