DESCRIPTION:Cori Kennedy\, from West Concord\, Minnesota will headline Widespot’s 1st annual benefit concert and online auction on September 19th. The show will kick off Widespot’s 17th concert season. Cori will share her story-driven songs in an intimate solo performance for a truly special evening. Cori was seen on the 28th season of NBC TV’s “The Voice”\, where she was on country music icon Reba McEntire’s team and advanced through the knockout rounds. \nCori’s extraordinary range and expressive delivery create an unforgettable live experience\, drawing audiences in from the very first note. It’s the kind of show that stays with you long after the evening ends. This concert is graciously sponsored by Interstate Building and Supply of Wabasha. \nWidespot volunteers are building a fabulous array of items for your bidding pleasure for their first online auction. The auction will open for online bidding\, Labor Day\, September 7th and close Sat. Sept. 19th at 5:30 pm\, just before the concert. \nTo add to the fun\, two food trucks will be available in the Widespot parking lot. Eagle View Bar & Grill from Minneiska and Oak and Embers Smoke Show from Byron\, will be ready to serve. The Widespot bar will also be open\, serving wine\, beer\, water\, and soda. \nSchedule of events\, all located at Widespot\, 611 Broadway Ave.\, Wabasha \nSept. 7 – Online bidding opens \nSept. 19:\n4:30-5:30 pm – Auction items available for viewing\n4:30 – 7 pm – Food trucks available\, as well as the Widespot Bar\n5:30 pm – Auction bidding closes\n6-8:00 pm – Auction items available for pick up\n6:30 pm – doors open for Cori Kennedy concert\n7:00 pm – concert begins \nSept. 20:\n1-3:00 pm – Final auction items available for pick up. DESCRIPTION:Widespot is hosting a “double header”\, star studded Blues Bash Birthday party Sept. 26th! \nCome celebrate Spike Stephan’s 60th Birthday with the Widespot\, Saturday\, Sept. 26th. \nOur first band is a Minnesota band – Jimmi Langemo and the Band of Souls.\nThey play boogie woogie. They play slow and lonely. They play toe tappin’\, deep grovin’ and hard drivin’. They will lift your spirits with contagious energy! The group includes Tom Koche on guitar\, Steve “Dancin” Hanson on Bass\, Brian Engen on drums and the one and only Mic Zampogna on keyboards. \nNext up will be from Shaun Murphy from Nashville\, with the finest Blues voice you will hear today. She’s an American blues and R&B singer-songwriter known for her powerhouse singing style. She’s shared a stage with Meatloaf\, Little Feat\, Eric Clapton\, Phil Collins and was backup singer for Bob Seger for many years.
