I know that participating in a running or walking event is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter or participate unless I am medically able and properly trained. I assume all risks associated with participating in this event, including but not limited to: falls; contact with other participants, vehicles, or spectators; the effects of weather (including heat, cold, rain, snow, ice, and wind); traffic; road and course conditions; and all other risks known and unknown, including concussions and other head injuries. I understand that these risks may result in serious injury, permanent disability, or death.

In consideration of my entry and participation in the Wabasha Riverboat Days 5K River Run/Walk, I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, hereby waive, release, and forever discharge the Wabasha-Kellogg Chamber of Commerce & CVB, Wabasha Riverboat Days, the Event Director, the City of Wabasha, all event sponsors, and all of their officers, directors, employees, volunteers, agents, and representatives from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, or causes of action of any kind arising out of or related to my participation, to the fullest extent permitted by Minnesota law, including claims based on negligence.

I agree to abide by all rules, instructions, and decisions of race officials regarding my ability to safely participate. I authorize event officials to obtain medical treatment on my behalf in the event of an emergency and agree to be financially responsible for any medical care provided.
I understand that the event may be held in a variety of weather conditions and that my entry fee is a donation to the Wabasha-Kellogg Chamber of Commerce & CVB. I acknowledge that all entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, including in the event of weather issues, personal inability to participate, or event modification, postponement, or cancellation for any reason.
