The Hiawatha Animal Humane Society was founded over 50 years ago and is a Non-Profit Organization made up entirely of volunteers. We do not have a physical location but serve the Mississippi River communities surrounding Lake City, Minnesota. Our volunteers provide shelter and care to homeless and distressed animals by being temporary foster homes. Our mission is to prevent cruelty to animals, relieve suffering among animals, and extend humane education.
HAHS is a group of volunteers from southeast MN whose goal is to help animals in need.
Our meetings are held at the Lake City Public Library on the second Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm. FB message or text 651-448-0396 to confirm before attending.
