  • Minnesota Author Visit with Diane Wilson

    Meet Diane Wilson the author of "The Seed Keeper", this year's Wabasha Reads book. Diane will be at the Wabasha Public Library Thursday June 4th at 6:30 p.m.She will speak on her writing experience and the ancestral history she has learned. Wilson is enrolled on the Sicangu Oyate (Rosebud) reservation in SouthDakota, and is a Mdewakanton descendent. She lives near the St. Croix River in Minnesota, where she cares for an Indigenous seed garden, native perennials for pollinators, and a Tamarack bog. All are welcome. Thank you to the Friends of the Library for co-hosting this event. Partially funded by the MN Arts and Cultural Heritage grant.View Facebook Event

    This interactive traveling exhibit emphasizes American Indian sovereignty as an ongoing continental reality. Learn from Dakota and Ojibwe Nations' new and innovative ways to create community, build sustainable systems, and relate to one another.
