Join us the 2nd Wednesday of each month starting in June, from 4:00–6:00 PM at the Wabasha Athletic Complex for our fun and welcoming Pumpkins & Paddles Pickleball Workshops—part of the lead-up to the 18th Annual SeptOberfest Celebration! These sessions are perfect for beginners or casual players who want to: Learn the basics Practice simple skills and drills Get friendly guidance from seasoned local players Meet others who are just starting out, too! No pressure, just pickleball fun! Our experienced players will be there to walk you through the game, answer questions, and help you feel comfortable on the court. Then, when you're ready, join us on Saturday, September 27 for the Pumpkins & Paddles Pickleball Tournament—a fun highlight of the SeptOberfest weekend in Wabasha! The dynamic duo of Joe and Vicki Price will bring the Delta Blues to WideSpot in Wabasha for a one-night stand on Saturday, September 13th. They’ve been playing together for almost forty years and are as comfortable together as an old pair of blue jeans. Over the years, they’ve opened for blues luminaries like John Lee Hooker, Willie Dixon, Honey Boy Edwards and many more. Joe plays a National Steel Guitar, while Vicki sings and plays second guitar. It’s lean in good music…a righteous, joyful, foot stomping jubilee! Tickets for any (or all!) shows are available at www.widespotperformingarts.org or by calling 715-448-0536, or at the door on the day of the show. Season passes are available at a discount until September 12th through the website as well. WideSpot, voted #1 in both the Performing Arts and Theater categories in the 2025 CommunityVotes Rochester 2025 campaign, is located in Wabasha, Minnesota’s Broadway Theater at 611 Broadway Avenue in the historic Mittel Schule building. The venue features a larger auditorium with close to 300 seats, onsite parking, and a bar serving beer, wine, water and sodas. Showtime will be at 7 pm, with doors opening at 6:30 pm.
