    February 14th Doors Open @ 6:30pm Showtime @ 7pm Minnesota’s Broadway Theater at 611 Broadway Avenue in the historic Mittel Schule building This Valentine’s Day, Wabasha’s WideSpot Performing Arts Center becomes the northernmost stop on the Mardi Gras parade route! February 14th, California based jazz trumpeter and showman, Jeff Bordes brings his New Orleans inspired revue to the Widespot. This show offers a collaboration of Bordes and Driftless Region favorites, Sue Orfield (Tenor Sax) and Faith Ulwelling (vocals) accompanied by local drums and bass artists. Together this group blends lush romantic ballads with the joyful spirit of Mardi Gras. Expect a night that’s tender, funky and full of New Orleans flair bringing together blues, brass and heart.     This Valentine’s Day, The WideSpot welcomes jazz trumpeter Jeff Bordes for his Wabasha debut, bringing a show that blends romantic ballads with the joyful spirit of Mardi Gras. Expect a night that’s tender, funky, and full of New Orleans flair. Bordes, a nationally touring artist known for fiery horn lines and soul-soaked performances, create a sound that brings together blues, brass, and heart. His WideSpot premiere will feature sultry love songs, second-line grooves, and music that invites you to slow dance one minute and let loose the next.     Join one of the National Eagle Center's Naturalists on a fun and exciting field trip to view Golden Eagles and other wildlife! This trip includes multiple stops to pre-scouted eagle viewing hotspots! You can view these majestic birds in the wild while learning about their habitat, behavior, and tips for identifying them on your own. Golden Eagles are more secretive and elusive than Bald Eagles, which makes them harder to spot. This guided field trip is a great way to learn how to identify Golden Eagles, distinguish them from juvenile Bald Eagles, and better spot them on your own. Be sure to dress for the weather and bring any binoculars, spotting scopes, or cameras as desired.
