SeptOberfest is bringing back its famous Volksmarch! Enjoy views of the Mississippi River and downtown Wabasha, while you do a fitness walk (or run). Choose the 5k or the 10K with your friends and family. Free Medallion for the first 100 walkers registered. 2026 SeptOberfest Pumpkin Derby Presented by MIDCO Hosted by Scouting America & Wabasha Rotary Club 11:00am Decorating 12:00pm Registration 1:00pm Decorating Awards Race Follows Awards Rules Pumpkin Derby Race Car kits are available 9/28 - 10/3 at the Wabasha Public Library 168 Alleghany Ave. Kits include wheels, spacers, axels and axel caps. Pumpkin Derby race cars must be created prior to 12pm Saturday, October 3st. Pumpkin derby race cars must be fully assembled and ready to race at check-in . Open Division  Craft your pumpkin using a SINGLE pumpkin. Insert 2 independent axels through your pumpkin and attach the wheels to the axels. You must fill out a Race Entry Form to enter the race. NOTE: You may not attach your pumpkin onto a chassis of any kind (office chair, skateboard, stroller, Tonka truck, etc.) Crafts not using the standard derby wheel kit will be entered in the unlimited division. (See below) Unlimited Division  No restrictions as long as the pumpkin is propelled only by gravity. (Fans, motors, explosives, pyrotechnics, etc. are not allowed.)
