Paint like Bob Ross with Julie Fjetland

Join Julie, a Certified Bob Ross Instructor, as she guides you step-by-step through the process of creating this beautiful scene on a black canvas on Saturday, August 23rd at 10 AM at Pioneer Campsite, Wabasha, MN. She will explain how to prep your canvas, load your brushes, and the brush strokes needed to complete each step, then you will have time to work on your painting as she comes around to help and answer any questions you may have. This is a wet-on-wet oil painting technique that anyone, 12 years or up, can do if you are willing to step out of your comfort zone and just give it a try. No experience necessary. Calling all Junior Investigators and Ghostbusters to The Anderson House Hotel

Calling all Junior Investigators and Ghostbusters to The Anderson House Hotel in Wabasha, Minnesota! This will be a fun-filled afternoon with a chance to bust Stay Puft, take photos with Ghostbusters, learn how to investigate the paranormal safely and an opportunity to try it out with experienced paranormal investigators! With this event, you get pizza and a pop.

“The Spheres of Women” – Civil War Living History Program
Step back in time and relive Civil War history with reenactors Heather Loeschke and Marie (Suilmann) McNamara. Heather and Marie dress in period clothing and use a slide show, along with display items to tell the story of Women’s work during the Civil War, particularly MN including Wabasha and Reads Landing.
You’ll have two opportunities to see this free program:
