See bald and golden eagles like never before – face to face!

The National Eagle Center is a tourist must-see and top Minnesota attraction that offers a unique viewing experience that brings visitors to within a few feet of these majestic raptors without any barrier in between. You can learn about eagles while standing right next to them – an unforgettable experience unlike any other!

Located in Wabasha, Minnesota, the National Eagle Center is home to several non-releasable Bald Eagles and a nesting place for hundreds of others who come for the winter.

Whether you wish to see these beautiful creatures up close, observe them in their prime habitat, incorporate their research into your own teachings, or donate to support their mission, they have a way for you to get involved.

Widespot Performing Arts Center Winter and Spring Lineup

Wabasha’s WideSpot Performing Arts Center is pleased to announce its Winter and Spring season lineup of seven concerts. The eclectic lineup leads off with the Scottie Miller and Cierra Hill duo on January 11th. Miller is a talented piano player and singer songwriter, and Hill plays both cello and violin. The results are magical!

Next up is the bluegrass and Americana stylings of Maygen and the Birdwatcher on February 1st. The band, including Wabasha native, Jesse Moravec, has been delighting audiences throughout the middle states; this is their first WideSpot Show.

Joyann Parker brings her Classic Ladies of Country Music on February 15th. Think songs by Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline, Tammy Wynette and others.

On March 8th, WideSpot favorites Four Pints Shy present an evening of great musicianship in a Celtic vein, as the band gets you in the spirit for the upcoming St. Patrick’s Day Holiday.

Maiden Rock’s own Patchouli and Terra Guitarra present “The Landscape of the Guitar” on April 12th, a concert and video presentation with strong Flamenco guitar stylings and lovely harmonies.

The Jimmys, a seven-piece R & B/Blues band bring crowds to their feet wherever they play. They feature a Hammond organ, killer guitar, three-piece horn section, and a rock-solid rhythm section. Plan on attending their show on May 3rd

Finally, Sam Miltich will finish our season on May 17th with a show paying homage to jazz guitarist Charlie Christrian. This fine band has been featured on a Prairie Home Companion. Like Jazz Guitar? You’ll love Sam!

Tickets for each show, as well as season passes for all seven, are available at www.widespotperformingarts.org or by calling 715-448-0536. WideSpot, the premiere entertainment venue in the Lake Pepin Region, is located in Wabasha Minnesota’s Broadway Theater at 611 Broadway Avenue in the historic Mittel Schule building. The venue features a fully accessible auditorium seating 300, convenient onsite parking and a bar serving beer, wine, water and sodas. Showtime will be at 7 pm, with doors opening at 6:30 pm.

WideSpot is supported by a number of community sponsors, as well as the Wabasha Kellogg Area Foundation and SEMAC, the South East Minnesota Arts Council. Activities through SEMAC are made possible by the voters of Minnesota through grants from the MN State Arts Board thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
